NFPA 4: Standard for Integrated Fire Protection - 1hr

     (1 Contact Hour approved for Fire Code Administrator, and Fire Safety Inspector)

This course will provide the outline of a 3rd party inspection platform for owner/contractor reporting. Throughout the course, the students in attendance will become familiar with the reporting capabilities, size and transfer of files, and how the system will create and develop reminders for future inspection due dates.

At the end of this session the student will be able to:
1. Understand 3rd party reporting
2. Develop a plan on how to accept 3rd party reporting within the parameters of the fire prevention and the building department
3. Evaluating building owner compliance of their life safety equipment required maintenance and testing.

Instructor:

Drew Slocum- Inspect Point With 19 years of fire protection experience, Drew, brings industry knowledge to the fire protection software industry. Working with both JCI (Tyco Fire Products) and Viking / Minimax, he learned a variety of suppression types as well as the needs of contractors installing and maintaining the equipment. Drew received his bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, where Inspect Point is headquartered today. He is one of the Co-founders of Inspect Point and is the VP of Strategy. Drew also serves as the Executive Director of the New York Fire Sprinkler Contractor's Association, assisting the fire sprinkler industry in NYC and Long Island.
