This course will provide an overview of what NFPA 1033 Standards for Professional Qualifications of a Fire Investigator requires and how you can meet those standards. These topics include but are not limited to fire dynamics, thermometry, fire science, fire chemistry, explosion dynamics. This course will discuss these required topics and how to document that training, vital to your ability to opine as to the origin and cause at a fire loss. The class will also discuss legal challenges to your expert classification and how to overcome those legal hurdles.
