Florida Fire Marshals and Inspectors Association Presents:
Leading Through the Fire: Building an Effective Team- 4 hrs.
Instructor: Dr. Kyle Bradshaw
Transform your leadership role with this case study; aimed to deeply explore team dynamics to enhance overall team performance within an organization. It involved analyzing data from over 180 teams, revealing that team success relies more on group dynamics and interactions than on individual talents. The study highlighted "psychological safety" as pivotal, where team members feel secure to share ideas
without fear of criticism. Psychological safety emerged as the most critical factor for team success, transforming how organizations approach collaboration.
Psychological safety serves as the cornerstone supporting effective teamwork, alongside pillars like dependability, structure, clarity, meaning, and impact. Dependability fosters trust, while clear roles and expectations provide structure. The sense of purpose motivates team members, and understanding individual contributions reinforces their value.
These pillars form the foundation for highly effective teams, creating an inclusive and efficient work environment. When applied, they promote innovation, job satisfaction, and organizational success. Psychological safety is particularly crucial, enabling all team members to collaborate effectively and contribute their best.
The class has been approved for four (4) hours of CEUs for Fire Code Administrator, Fire Instructor, Fire Investigator and Fire Safety Inspector I&II.
