Firestopping Basics and Inspection Challenges - 2 hr.

Firestopping is an essential component of building construction and maintenance, designed to protect lives and ensure compliance with building code requirements. Proper installation is critical to ensuring firestop systems perform as intended during a fire.
This two-hour course will help participants:
- Understand the requirements for correct firestopping.
- Recognize signs of proper versus poor installation.
- Review common applications, challenges, and best practices.
The class is highly relevant for inspectors, building officials, engineers, architects, and contractors involved in firestop inspections, reviews, and walk-throughs.
The class has been approved for four (2) hours of CEUs for Fire Code Administrator, and Fire Safety Inspector I&II.
