The Cancer in the Fire Service: Fire Investigators & Inspectors curriculum educates Fire Investigators and Inspectors about their occupational cancer risk and provides strategies and tools to reduce the risks. Course content is organized into five modules: 1) Cancer in the Fire Service, 2) Fire Service Occupational Cancer Risk, 3) Reducing Cancer risk in the Fire Service, 4) Organizational Level Change, and 5) Ongoing Learning Resources. This course is suitable for all fire service personnel whose job duties involve visiting fire scenes, conducting investigations, and other activities that may result in exposure to hazardous substances, including carcinogens. Participants' learning is supported by the videos as well as interactive course components, including a case study discussion and assessment questions for each module.
